Ensuring efficient operations and high levels of guest service of a venue on an assigned shift; perform all job duties in accordance with the Company’s GuestPath Universal Service and Operations Standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintain thorough knowledge of Food and Beverage specifications
Maintain knowledge and integrity of the Point of Sale system
Ensure compliance with all departmental and organizational policies and procedures
Ensure the highest levels of service and quality
Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and associates
Assist managers in the training and development of staff
Assist managers in the management of staffing levels in accordance with established budgetary goals and business volume
Inspect by walking through your assigned area to monitor staff and to monitor guest needs
Engage with guests to ensure guest satisfaction
Ensure staffing and sections are assigned daily to designated areas.
Maintain current knowledge of daily menus and prices
Lead hourly staff in the daily performance of their duties
Communicate daily property information to staff
Review buffet line (if applicable) to ensure a stocked and appealing look
Ensure venue is adequately stocked with all product and supplies needed for service
Ensure accuracy of revenue drops
Confer with manager concerning operational deficiencies and areas in need of attention
Conduct associate-counseling sessions including verbal and written corrective action reports
Greet guests positively, treating each person as an individual and in a professional manner.
Prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Complete other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High school diploma or GED preferred
One year related experience required
TiPS Certification
West Virginia Racing Commission License required
Food Handlers Card
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Food & Beverage industry experience
Superior organization and guest service abilities required
Exceptional communication and leadership skills required
Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and percentages
Basic computer skills including word-processing, spreadsheets, and e-mail required
Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge and skill
Engage guests in conversation and make their experience memorable
Role model the GuestPath Universal Service Standards interacting positively through relationships with guests, coworkers, and supervisors displaying genuine concern and mutual respect for people’s needs
Demonstrate skill in dealing with guest complaints, using active listening skills to defuse difficult and sometimes emotionally charged situations to maintain the guest’s goodwill
Understand the goals and vision of the organization, and demonstrate commitment to those goals in terms of individual and team performance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift or carry 50 pounds
Ability to stand or walk 100% of the time
ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Exposure to secondhand smoke
Exposure to high volume noise
