Seeking an experienced Credit Manager for a reputable manufacturing company here in Spokane! This candidate would be responsible for evaluation of potential and existing customers; in addition to the collection of debt owed. This evaluation and collection is a key role in ensuring the continuous growth and expansion of the company's goals and aspirations as they are set forth. Lien experience is required for this position
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain effective relationships with departments, employees, and managers.
- Direct investigations to determine appropriate course with all departments regarding disputes, questions, challenges, and to achieve a resolution based on policies and procedures being followed.
- Determine credit risk of potential and existing customers.
- Approve or Deny credit application applicant(s) based on their credit risk.
- Supervise staff member's activities to ensure customer's accounts are consistently and accurately maintained.
- Review, manage, and follow up with legal issues involving customers and all contracts.
- Notify or locate customers with delinquent accounts and attempt to secure payment.
- Record information about financial status of customer and status of collection efforts.
- Analyze paying habits of customers who are delinquent in payment of bills.
- Review files to select delinquent accounts for collection efforts.
- Evaluate customer records and recommend that accounts be closed, credit limit reduced or extended, or collection attempted, based on payment history and purchase activity of customer.
- Prepare reports on current findings and action taken for all accounts under investigation.
- Post transactions to accounting records such as work sheet, ledger, or computer files.
- Interview customers by telephone in an attempt to determine reason for overdue payment, reviewing terms of sales, service, or credit contract with customer.
- Cost and Benefits analysis of Third Party Vendors;
o Credit Reporting
o Credit Card Processing
o Collection Agencies, Legal Law Firms, etc.
- Develop and maintain credit dashboard illustrating overall risk management of accounts.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive experience as a Credit Manager and lien experience.
- Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Proficient in the use of programs such as Word, Excel, and Power Point. Able to set up, enter data, and maintain database information.
