Billing Representative (Billing Clerk) - Full-time / Part-time

The Billing Representative is responsible for providing complete and accurate performance of the following activities:

* Processing and resolution of assigned errors and denials
* Manual match compare
* Research missing or information with errors
* Generate Error Processing correspondences
* Processing responses to Error Processing correspondences
* Processing of clearinghouse rejections
* Updating of permanent patient demographics
* Updating of Remittance Advice Remark Codes and Claims Adjustment Reason Codes
* Processing "bad address" returned mail
* Entry of standing orders

Qualifications:

• 2 years medical office/clerical/admin experience
  High attention to detail
• Associate's degree; B.A. in Healthcare Management, Business or related field preferred
• 3+ years experience in the medical billing/healthcare industry
• Experience with medical billing software
• Understanding of CPT and ICD-10, ICD-9 coding
• Experience with payor relations

Pay rate: $15 -$16.50 - based on experience
