Overview
An internship can be the perfect way to start a career! General Dynamics Information Technology s Health and Civilian Solutions Division is pleased to announce our 2016 Summer Internship Program. Our internship program will allow for work-based learning in conjunction with admissible academic credit. In addition, we aim to create an experience that will provide students insight into our industry and offer the guidance/mentorship to establish personal career goals and aspirations.
Program Structure
Our program is designed to provide the structure and organization of a daily work routine along with a monthly workshop for professional instruction and team building exercises. Professionals from our various departments will participate to give students a specific and versatile perspective from an industry and real-world point of view.
Customer Service Intern will:
- Investigate and resolve software issues for customers.
- Answer phone calls and emails regarding customer issues.
- Log incidents and defects in ticketing system.
- Manage issue resolution escalating through 3rd level support as needed.
- Maintain and cultivate relationships with customers.
- Provide feedback to product team on incidents; defects and feature. Requests.
- Assist with the creation and management of product documentation.
- Conduct software testing as needed.
Education
Education and Internship Requirements :
- Students must be enrolled Full Time at an accredited College or University.
- GPA requirement is 3. 0 and above as verified by transcripts.
- Must meet qualifications for the internship as outlined in the requisition.
- Possess Strong verbal and written communications.
- Possess problem solving and decision making ability
- Successfully pass a background check and drug test.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 0-1 years of related experience supporting engineering; information technology or other technical operations.
Part time availability is acceptable. Candidate must have excellent computer skills in the area of general Microsoft Office Applications. A highly motivated individual with solid writing; communication; and organizational skills is desired. Must be able to multi-task and work independently with direction.
