Seeking a motivated and proven Electro Mechanical Technician to join the start-up and ongoing success of the Maintenance department at our latest high-tech IG fabrication facility in Buckeye, AZ.
Job Objective(s):
In a High Tech Insulating Glass (IG) manufacturing facility, this Electro Mechanical Technicians primary responsibility will be to work with a team of Engineers and Technicians to ensure the ongoing function of the high tech equipment, by conducting preventative maintenance and diagnostic on equipment in need of repair.
Required Education/Experience:
Associates degree; or three plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Responsibilities and Duties - Essential Job Functions
Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
Responsible for electrical repair involving motors, controls and other equipment
Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing equipment.
Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instruments and equipment.
Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Maintains Technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
Maintains continuity among work teams documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to Maintenance Manager.
Continuously work to improve equipment.
Compile data, write reports, and confer with engineers, production, and other personnel regarding existing and potential engineering projects.
Collect plant location data to determine operating efficiency of electrical equipment.
Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications and necessity of modification.
