Position Purpose:

This position is responsible for overseeing the operation, repair and compliance of all regulations in regard to all of our utilities processes such as the plants gas mixing system, air compressors, hot water heaters, waste water system and the refrigeration system doing such tasks as updating our Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) diagrams, updating Preventive Maintenance (PMs), review and updating of the 14 points in the Process Safety Management (PSM) program, developing work orders for repairs as well as supervising the Utility Techs.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • 35% Manage our utilities program including our ammonia process, compressed air process, waste water process
  • 20% Make any follow up or repair work orders on the systems
  • 15% Supervise utility techs this includes all safety documentation, scheduling and Kronos input
  • 15% Sustain the PSM program and reports
  • 10% Review and update all SOP's and update all P&ID's
  • 5% Ensure plant is compliant with all regulatory mandates such as hazmat, respirator evaluation and testing

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 2 years experience in a management/supervisor position
  • 3 years experience working with Ammonia refrigeration
  • Ammonia Operator 1 certified
  • Must be able to obtain CIRO/CARO certification within 2 years if not currently certified

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • RETA CARO & CIRO Certification
  • 2 years previous maintenance frontline leadership experience
  • Project Management Experience
  • Advanced safety knowledge to include permit procedures, hazardous chemicals, and process safety management
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and CMMS software
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP)
  • 1 years experience in continuous improvement programs
