Thank you for inquiring about the opportunity to become an Aviation Maintenance Technician - Delta Technical Operations. This job bid includes primarily Engine Shops, but may include job offers to Line, Base, and Component Maintenance as well. Current Engine departmental openings will first be internally posted through TOBS (Technical Operation Bid System), and then any remaining shortages filled through this job bid.

JOB SUMMARY: The Aviation Maintenance Technician position duties include, but are not limited to: responsible for entire disassembly and assembly of commercial jet engines, including modules, rotors, and gearboxes. Will be required to use balance equipment, and advanced jet engine assembly technology. Troubleshooting in-shop assembly processes as well as engines in line environment operation. Responsibilities include the cleaning and repair of aircraft parts, including blending, burnishing, blasting, shotpeening, weighing and coating. Will be performing inspections during rework, documenting maintenance procedures, parts origin, and determining condition of parts or equipment. Maintain or repair of some or all of the following; aircraft, aircraft engines, aircraft components and avionics systems according to Delta and FAA specifications. Perform inspections during assembly of part and after repair or installation of component. Documenting maintenance procedures to include; component damage, component origin, and condition of component, components or equipment.

Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license. Must have the ability to work rotating or fixed shifts as needed. Must be able to read and write at a level to comprehend and apply information contained in detailed and complex technical manuals, procedural manuals, wiring diagrams, blueprints etc. with little or no assistance. Must demonstrate a willingness to practice safe work habits as evidenced through behavior and attitude. Maintain compliance with all applicable FAA and other government regulatory agency requirements. Must be able to study, master and apply a series of steps, rules and guidelines needed to perform a variety of specific tasks. Must be able to learn and apply new skills, procedures or policies that may conflict with existing information. Must be able to respond flexibly to changing or multiple work demands. Must be able to read, understand and apply written text of a technical nature that may or may not have been written in sentence format, answer questions, solve problems and complete tasks. Must be able to use machines common to shop and office, adjusting settings or controls to produce changes in equipment or materials such that output conforms to set standards or tolerances. Must be performing satisfactorily in present position. Residency requirement is a minimum of two years.

Be able to pass an extensive background check, drug test and audiogram

Be authorized to work in the US

Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
