Supervise, direct, assist and monitor the job performance of all housekeeping staff to ensure the completion of Housekeeping tasks at a level established by Harrah's management.
Job Description:
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Endorse the business objectives, ethics and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values
* Supervise, direct, assist and monitor the performance of all housekeeping staff to ensure the completion of housekeeping tasks
* Serve as a leader for employees while fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation and open communication
* Ensure all Housekeeping staff is well trained with an emphasis on detail to provide service levels consistent with the accepted concept for the Hotel
* Assign supervisory inspectors, room attendants, and house-persons to daily tasks while maintaining quality cleanliness standards set forth by the department
* Follow inventory and purchasing procedures in order to achieve budgeted expenses
* Maintain key control within the department
* Accountable for the follow-up with department walk-through, special cleaning projects and maintaining of department cleanliness and training standards
* Follow and ensure security and safety guidelines are in place
* Maintain and monitor lost and found system
* Interface with Front Desk personnel to ensure maximum guest satisfaction
* Follow up and reconcile all guest concerns or complaints relating to their stay at Harrah's Cherokee
* Coordinate the day to day activities of Room Attendants and Housepersons to ensure the efficient operation of the department
* Complete room inspections daily
* Perform all duties of Room Attendants and Housepersons as needed
* Ensure timely and accurate performance appraisals and accurate work history entries
* Meet or exceed the attendance guidelines for the job; be dependable and reliable
* Provide direction and support for all staff members to achieve department goals and objectives
* Coach and develop employees using a consistent, approachable demeanor while clearly articulating expectations
* Responsible for, or actively participates in, the initiation of personnel actions including but not limited to: interviews, training, candidate selection, terminations, performance reviews, promotions, transfers and disciplinary actions
* Proactive with incidents and issues ensuring resolution with employees and guests
* Other duties as required to deliver excellent service to internal and external customers
* Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies/procedure in an ethical manner
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School diploma or GED required
* Associate degree from an accredited institution preferred
* Three years experience in hospitality industry preferred
* Two years supervisory experience required
* Must have completed Exploring Supervisory Opportunities
* Must pass Super LAP
* Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
* Strong organizational, communication and supervisory skills required
* Excellent customer service and public relations skills required
* Experience working with BioHazards and knowledge in dealing with Blood-borne Pathogens
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Must be able to operate an I-Touch handheld device
* Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
* Self-starter; must work without close supervision
* Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene*Knowledge of AS400, PROMUSP, LMS, Kronos
* *Knowledge of Harrah's employment policies
* *Blood Borne Pathogen (BBP) Training
* *Risk Management training
* *Knowledge of the Hotsos/REX programs
* *Not required at time of hire; may be learned in probationary period agreed upon at time of hire.

* Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items
* Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
* Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
* Must be able to work in small, shared office space
* Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
* Must be able to work around dogs/pets
* Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time
* Must be able to work with various chemicals
* Must be able to tolerate area containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds and air quality including second hand smoke
* Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays.
