We are currently seeking a Break Press Operator for our client in Carnegie Pa.

 

JOB TITLE: CNC Press Brake Operator

 

SCHEDULE: Day Shift: Mon – Fri, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm

 

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the daily setup and operation for one or more CNC Press Brake machines. He/she will also assist other CNC operators with any of their daily duties including area housekeeping, maintenance work, and material staging. Maintain quality and safety standards, keep records and maintain equipment and supplies.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Plan bending by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces and interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  2. Program press brake by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.
  3. Sets-up press brake by installing and adjusting punch and die.
  4. Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part and sample workpieces and adhering to company standards.
  5. Maintains specifications by observing bending, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming controls, adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
  6. Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  7. Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer''s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, notifying Fabrication Supervisor of needed repairs.
  8. Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  9. Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. One or more years experience operating CNC Press Brakes.
  2. Working experience on Accurpress, Niagara and Safan Darley CNC Press Brake machines preferred.
  3. High School diploma preferred.
  4. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  5. Drawing and reading comprehension skills.
  6. Ability to inspect formed parts with precision inspection equipment.
  7. Possess some knowledge of and ability to identify fabrication industry metals.

 

  1. Familiarity with sheet metal flat patterns preferred.
  2. Ability to learn or have some working knowledge of CNC machine code.
  3. Ability to work well as a team member.
  4. Understanding and support of company policies and procedures.
  5. Safety conscious behavior.
  6. Excellent punctuality and attendance.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Lift, carry, push and or pull 1 – 50 lbs. frequently.
  2. Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, crawl, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward

frequently.

  1. Sit, stand and walk for 1 – 10 hours per day.
  2. Work in a fast paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision

protection, steel-toed shoes and other appropriate protective clothing.
