Detail Parts Team Leader

Job Duties:

· This position works and reports under the direction of the Detail Parts supervisor. The Team Leader role is comprised of, but is not limited to the following set of skills and responsibilities:

Skills:

· Working knowledge of the responsibilities in the Shear Shop, Detail Shop, and Machine shop with the ability to problem solve and make decisions in a fast paced environment.

· Maintaining Production schedules and on time customer delivery requirements.

· Prioritize and schedule jobs and employees on a daily basis.

· Familiarity with Bills of Materials, and the ability to review inventory / part availability.

· Provide work assignments to qualified employees to insure the timely completion of production jobs.

· Track employee productivity and quality making necessary adjustments in accordance with changes in customer demand, and materials availability.

· The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

· Interaction with support departments for example: maintenance, quality control, shipping / receiving, engineering, to insure product flow.

· Identify and assist in training needs to develop employees.

· Maintain a safe clean working environment.

· Communication with management and work force on all aspects relevant to manufacturing operations.

· Participation in Lean Manufacturing development and activities.

· Familiarity with MS Word and Excel, and Visual ERP.

· Physical Demands:

· Light to moderate physical effort required

· Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

Work hours are Monday to Thursday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm
