Established transportation company located near Valley Stream, NY seeks an experienced Overnight Warehouse/Dispatch Supervisor.
Shift starts at 6:00 p.m. – until finish (typically 8 to 10-hour work days)
Main functions will include but not limited to:
Shift starts at 6:00 p.m. – until finish (typically 8 to 10-hour work days)
Main functions will include but not limited to:
- Managing the Dispatch and Warehouse operations (~120 Drivers)
- Ensure a safe working environment through consistent practice of safety programs and procedures
- Select, place and train staff
- Plan, manage and control day to day operations for assigned groups or functional areas
- Implement and evaluate policies, procedure and practices relating to the operation
- Other functions as needed
- This is a supervisory role; must have minimum 5-8 years of related supervisory experience
- Strong leadership skills
- Basic to intermediate computer skills (MS Office Suite)
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
