Sr. Solutions Manager, Hershey, PA

 

Kelly Services is seeking a Sr. Solutions Manager to lead the management and continuous improvement of the commercial planning technology capabilities, which includes Trade Promotion Management (TPM), Direct Marketing Expense Management (DME) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) for one of our top clients in Hershey, PA.

 

Length: 6 Months (Contract W2)

Pay Rate: $negotiable/hr. (W2)

 

  • The Sr. Solutions Manager will be responsible for managing the relationship with the various business stakeholders for these processes and ensuring that the system capabilities meet the business expectations. The role will lead the development team (internal and external technical resources) part of the IT organization and work closely with cross-functional business teams to advise, define and deliver technology capabilities supporting the Commercial Planning strategic initiatives.
  • The role is expected to have successfully delivered technology implementations for one or more commercial planning solutions (TPM, DME, IBP) and supporting reporting and analytics solutions. He/she should have strong technical expertise with SAP BW, SAP CRM / TPM, SAP SD and SAP FI, and solid knowledge about required integrations with SAP ERP and other downstream systems.
  • Working in a consulting role, ideally with one of the big 5 firms is a plus. Strong communication, presentation and relationship skills are highly desirable.
  • Enterprise wide responsibilities for TPM, DME and IBP technology solutions. This includes developing the strategic technology roadmap, prioritizing technology initiatives, identifying innovation opportunities, and staying abreast of industry and technology trends.
  • Developing and nurturing Business partner relationships. Close linkage to customer capabilities, sales and marketing planning and the sales/marketing finance teams. This includes jointly defining business objectives and goals, developing business cases, evaluating current technologies, communicating new technology capabilities, and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Manage and lead direct reports including goal setting, performance management, skill and knowledge building and career development. Build and maintain high performance teams through own actions and direction provided to others.
  • Responsible for leading and successfully delivering strategic technology initiatives with the commercial organization. Provide oversight for the execution of programs/projects, program/project schedules and budgets, reporting variances along with planned corrective action.
  • Overall responsible to maximize system accuracy, uptime and performance for the TPM, DME and IBP solutions
  • Represent business requirements and priorities within IS.
  • Advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits and impacts on business processes, and systems.
  • Coordinate with IS teams to prioritize and implement changes and strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with business strategists, process owners and subject matter experts.
  • Coordinate with architecture and technical teams to manage application lifecycle.
  • Anticipate the resource needs ahead and galvanize resources to achieve desired results. Find and optimize resources to get the job done.
  • Build strong vendor relationships:
  • Represent Customer Service / OTC business requests with key vendors.
  • Manage and enhance strategic relationships with key vendors.
  • Fully understand and influence vendor capability roadmaps.
  • Stay abreast of vendor trends and emerging issues.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Services (MIS), Engineering or related field. Master’s degree, a plus

 

Experience:

  • 12 Years of technology implementation experience, preferably within a large company or consulting organization
  • 10 years of experience with SAP products with emphasis on SAP BW, SAP CRM / TPM, SAP SD and SAP FI
  • Demonstrates considerable knowledge of and success in applying extensive understanding of the SAP BW planning solutions
  • Technical domain knowledge including a broad understanding and working knowledge of IT including all major functions
  • Must be up to date with SAP trends such as S/4 HANA, general industry trends and technology advancements including big data capabilities and advanced analytics
  • Experience with leadership responsibility for application development and delivery functions
  • Experience applying standard software development methodologies.
  • Experience managing large programs
  • Strong knowledge and experience in program and project management disciplines
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, influencing, negotiation, organization and communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Seasoned people leader with track record of building high performance teams
  • SAP certification is a plus
  • CPG Experience is a plus
