Sales Associate Job Description
Position Summary:
Uphold the Core Values as determined by management team. Primary responsibility for all positions with Evans Ace Hardware is to Amaze Every Customer Every Time. Floor associates are responsible for engaging the customer, determining their needs and projecting requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
*Maintain assigned department: keep clean, organized, and stocked.
*Cooperate with others and work well as part of a retail team.
*Remove promotional bin tags from displays, and price tags as required following sales events.
*Restock merchandise displays as needed.
*Handle special orders for all non-stock items.
*Provide the best possible experience for Every Customer Every Time, by being helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly.
*Serve customers in assigned departments, or store wide, and provide advice or information, greet every customer as you encounter them.
*Assist customers with simple complaint/concerns, get a manager involved as needed.
*Always be polite and attentive to customers. Make eye contact and smile. Do not avoid customers.
*Promote the Ace Rewards program to all customers.
*Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements, so you can inform customers of special sales.
*Always wear your radio and headset in order to effectively communicate with other associates and management.
*Assist customers with large or heavy items as needed.
*Offer customers a red basket for their shopping use.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
*Able to communicate professionally with customers and team members.
*Skilled at providing prompt, friendly and attentive service to customers.
*Strong organizational skills with a passion for details
*Willingness to learn all areas of the store.
*Knowledge and experience in various departments is strongly desired.
*A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.
*Availability must be flexible to include weekends and some holidays.
Physical Requirements:
*Ability to stand for extended periods of time,walk, reach, and bend to perform job duties.
*Move and handle products up to 50 lbs.
*Job responsibilities may change based on the needs of the business.

$13.50

Starting pay is $13.50 an hour with an increase to $14.00 an hour after completing all required on-boarding training, and our 90 day probationary period. Employees who finish on boarding and probation will receive a $500.00 SIGN ON BONUS. Employees will also be able to enroll in medical,dental and vision insurance. An employer match 401k will also be available, and you will begin accruing vacation time.
