Outside Sales Representative

Responsibilities and Duties

•	Responsible for seeking and generating new sales while servicing and maintaining current clients
•	Regularly visit and call on regular and prospective customers to take orders.
•	Keep management up to date on the status of each customer’s jobs. 
•	Explain and demonstrate products to customers
•	Prepare quotes for customers and deliver in a professional manner.
•	Facilitate communication between customers & inside sales staff regarding scheduling.
•	Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and inside sales staff
•	Resolve customer problems in an efficient manner
•	Maintain a solid knowledge base of local codes, lumber products, roofing products, and industry norms
•	Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

•	Extensive experience in lumber, windows, doors, roofing, millwork and hardware.
•	Detail oriented
•	Highly motivated
•	Strong written and verbal communication skills
•	General computer skills
•	Must have prior selling experience
