Bartender

As a Bartender you will need to interact with our guests and ensure they have a great experience when dining at Surf Taco. Surf Taco Bartenders are responsible for 
positive guest interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, bartenders are expected to be attentive to our guest needs and making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed.  

Prior experience as a bartender
		Strong knowledge of craft beer
	             Excellent knowledge of mixing drinks, garnishing and serving drinks
		Strong work ethic
		Skills in multitasking
		High level of maturity
		Skills in handling complaints, arbitrating disputes and resolving grievances
		Knowledge in handling intoxicated patrons
		Able to perform request in a timely matter	
		Computer literacy
		Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
		Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
		Tips Certification

•	Greet guest, take beverage orders from the cocktail waitress or directly from guest.
•	Mix drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with Surf Taco standards.
•	Check Identification of Guest to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
•	Handle an assigned house bank of $200 and follow all cash handling procedures
•	Collect payment for drinks served and balance all receipts. 
•	Ensure that the bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guest, prepare an inventory request for items needed to replenish supplies.
•	Serve snack and food items to guests seated at the bar where appropriate.
•	Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, promotions and entertainment. 
•	Maintain a clean working area by wiping down bar, sweeping, dusting, cleaning glassware and mirrors, clean, stock, and restock drink wells, shelves, and refrigerators, ect. as needed 
•	Perform opening, closing and side duties required at each shift.
•	Provide guidance to guest with ordering food and beverage and display general knowledge of craft beers and Surf Taco special food items. 
•	Perform duties as assigned by the management team in a timely matter.
•	Follow all ABC regulations.
