Produce Manager - Full-time / Part-time

We are looking for a talented individual to manage the Produce Department for our company. You will be the one responsible for the pricing and overall promotion of the produce department to maximize consumer appeal. Relationships with vendors and product range management will also be part of your duties.

An excellent Produce Manager must have extensive experience in understanding consumer needs and the retail environment. They must have a commercial mindset and full comprehension of marketing and sales principles. Exceptional communication skills are also key for Deli Managers.

The goal is to increase sales and profitability of business to drive sustainable growth.

A qualified applicant for this position will have the skills necessary to achieve the following:
-Provide excellent customer service
-Hire and train new staff
-Supervise direct reporting staff according to overall company policy
-Apply strategic planning to determine department objectives
-Monitor staff performance including performance reviews
-Formulate department/unit policies and practices
-Co-ordinate financial and budget activities for maximum operational efficiency
-Review performance data (financial, sales and activity reports) to monitor and measure productivity for the achievement of department goals

Requirements
-Must demonstrate efficiency and delicacy with potentially hazardous equipment (slicers, heated wrapping stations, knives, etc.).
-Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
