Courtesy Clerk - Full-time / Part-time

Summary: 
The Bagger at Paradise Foods will assist cashiers and customers during the checkout process. You will greet customers, bag and load groceries, retrieve carts as necessary, and keep carts neatly arranged. You will also maintain a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, efficient customer service. 
This position reports to the Customer Service Manager and Assistants.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities: 
-Carefully bag groceries
-Conduct carry out service when requested.
-Greet each customer with friendly eye contact.
-Thank each customer for their business.
-Smile.
-Retrieve, organize, and clean carts/baskets as directed by Customer Service Manager and Assistants.
-Perform price checks as needed and restocks returned/abandoned product as requested by Customer Service Manager and Assistants.
-Respond promptly to customer needs; requests assistance when necessary. 
-Perform other duties throughout the store as assigned by the Customer Service Manager and Assistants
-Keep inside and outside tables and surrounding areas clean and free of debris.
-Keep floor and customer service area clean and free of debris.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Reliable, punctual, and committed to customer service. 
-Neat and clean in appearance.
-Able to follow instructions and established procedures. 
-Able to handle customer complaints courteously and professionally.
-Possess good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with other Team Members and leadership.
-Able to communicate, read, and comprehend instructions in English. 
-Willing to receive constructive feedback pertaining to job performance.
-Able to work a variety of shifts including Saturdays, evenings until 8:30pm, and holidays.
-Must be 16 years (with a work permit) or older and work up to a maximum of 8 hours per day.

Working Conditions:
-Stand and walk for extended periods of time up to 4 hours without a break.
-Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders.
-Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds, unassisted.
-Repetitive use of hands and arms, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, fine manipulation, and reaching at or above the shoulder. 
-Exposed to temperature extremes (indoors and outdoors).
