About this job
Under the supervision of the Dietary Supervisor, the cook is responsible for preparing and serving meals according to cycle menus. He/she monitors methods of food handling, preparation, meal service and equipment cleaning.
Education
High School or equivalent
Experience
* Prior experience is preferred.
* Must be able to successfully complete the Food Protection Manager Certification/Serve Safe examination within 60 days of employment.
* Ability to relate and work effectively with others
* Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards.
* Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for professional advancement and that of others.
