JOB DESCRIPTION
Payroll Duties
• Enter weekly payroll for 60+ hourly and salaried employees in two companies
• Maintain employees file for accuracy and completeness including new hires
• Process ACH payroll weekly
• Process garnishments and deductions (ie union dues, insurance, child support etc.)
• Process payroll taxes weekly
• Prepare transmittal file for 401k
• Benefit enrollment for Health/Dental/Vision insurance
• Audit unemployment benefit claims weekly
Payables
• Verify and enter invoices for payment
• Review vendor statements
• Payment processing weekly both by check and online
• Maintain subcontractor insurance certificates
Other
• Greet guest at the door
• Sign for deliveries
• General office duties including filing, answering the phone and directing calls
• Open and sort incoming mail
• Distribute incoming faxes
• Assist operation manager in preparing for audits, preparing repots or other special projects as needed
Skills
• Very Organized
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with basic accounting practices
• Experience with Sage/Peachtree Contractor 100 or other accounting software preferred
