SPECIAL NOTES:
A high school diploma or its' equivalent is required.
Applicants are required to have:
One (1) or more years of secretarial or office clerical work experience.
One (1) or more years computer Microsoft software experience/Word, Excel, Outlook.
Preference will be given to applicants with FCDICE experience.
This position does require C J I S training and certification per F D L E requirements.
The base annual salary for this position is $21,532.92 annually.
This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.
Responses to qualifying questions must be clearly supported by the state application and any omission, falsification or misrepresentation in the answering of the qualifying questions will be cause for immediate elimination from the selection process.
Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of general office procedures and practices
Knowledge of correct grammar usage
Ability to understand and apply applicable Florida Statutes, Florida Administrative Code, policies and procedures relating to Certification.
Knowledge of computer software such as FCDICE, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Ability to access, input and retrieve data from computer.
Ability to prepare complex reports and correspondence.
Other Knowledge, Skill(s), and Ability(ies):
Knowledge of the principles of interpersonal relationships.
Knowledge of principles and techniques of effective verbal and written communication.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain internal and external working relationships with others.
Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Analyzes and Processes Applications for Certifications
Prints Grades and Certificates
Prepares Correspondence, Certified Letters, Denials
Assess backgrounds necessary to Certifications
Coding and Sorting Mail
Back Up switchboard operator
