We're searching for a Front of House Manager who can lead a team at a college in the Napa Valley region. Typical hours are Monday-Friday 11am-8pm.

The is the opportunity to work with an award winning, on-site food management company. They are a pioneer in environmentally sound sourcing policies, developed programs addressing local purchasing, overuse of antibiotics, sustainable seafood, the food–climate change connection, humanely raised meat and eggs, and farmworkers' rights.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily Front of the House operations
  • Organize and supervise shifts
  • Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
  • Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
  • Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future operations

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Front of House Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role
  • Proven customer service experience as a manager
  • Extensive food and beverage knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
  • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
  • Financial management skills
  • Back of House management a plus
  • BSc degree in Business Administration; hospitality management or culinary schooling is a plus
