Position Summary:
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for carrying out the routine maintenance and emergency repairs of various types of machinery in the production area and assist with some general building maintenance for location.
Essential Functions:
Experience: Two years of progressive experience and responsibility in a maintenance field required. Production related experience also required.
Knowledge & Skills: Well-developed knowledge and skill in techniques and procedures required for repair and maintenance of industrial/production machine maintenance and repair requirements. Good communication, basic math, organizational and decision-making skills required. Must be able to work independently and efficiently in an often fast-paced environment, and positively contribute to team working environment.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
Uniform: Associates will be issued and required to wear a standard uniform in accordance with the company’s dress code policy.
PPE: Protective equipment is available and will be required to be worn as the situation dictates.

- Troubleshoot, maintain, and perform emergency repairs to various types of industrial machines in production area.
- Must be able to read building and electrical schematics.
- Assist with general building maintenance.
- Maintain organized work area.
- Operate power equipment in accordance to OSHA and company safety standards.
- Complete assigned repairs in a timely manner & according to Company standards
- Notify maintenance and supervisor of needed machine repairs or areas of maintenance concern.
- Other duties as assigned.
