Sales Support Administrator

Reports to Sales and Marketing Manager

Position Location: NYC

Summary

The Sales Administration Manager is an integral member of the Hampton Forge internal sales team, responsible for sales administration and support for internal and external field sales representatives. The key functions of this role include field sales rep customer service, new customer set up and updates, trade show support, communications, forecasting and demand planning, inventory updates, customer compliance and liaison with other internal departments.

Key Reponsibilities

  • Maintain and update all Customer Profiles in Salesforce
  • Overall Salesforce manager, ensuring the system is up to date for all projects, opportunities and calendars
  • New account set up in Sales Force and VAM
  • Facilitate order processing by ensuring proper communication among all parties
  • Manage NY showroom, including samples in showroom and in storage; keep tracking log; overall maintenance and product refresh
  • Research sales leads through competitor dealer locators
  • Provide samples as requested using the sample tracking form and process
  • Customer service for sales reps and customers, including topics such as order and delivery status, product questions; triage any quality or late shipment issues
  • Compile/ review weekly key account POS reports, including analysis of 4 week trends and potential actionable points.
  • Compile/ sensitize monthly forecasts updates for POG accounts, ensuring a minimum of 9 months of data within the validity of the established program.
  • Monitor inventory on an ongoing basis to ensure timely delivery to meet all order commitmentsCompile/ sensitize monthly forecasts updates for POG accounts, ensuring a minimum of 9 months of data within the validity of the established program.
  • Communicate all key line review dates by customer and important sales activities such as trade shows on a rolling 12 month calendar, creating timelines with milestones.
  • Maintain and own all appointment calendars for line reviews, trade shows, customer meetings, etc.
  • Communicate customer decisions on assortments (POG), proactively managing the next steps (add/drops, new items set-ups, set dates, initial forecast, run out of disco items, etc.) with the other departments of the company and with the customer.
  • Implement account visitation cycles, complying with the 60 day rolling calendar policy and monitor allocation of time and efforts to sales growth and business development.
  • Review results of Demand Planning and actionable points (new POS, cancelations, rush, delays…) focusing on proper coverage of customer demand while ensuring the company inventory turn goals are met.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance, communications or business preferred
  • 0-3 years experience
  • Current knowledge of customer compliance in key channels a plus
