FINANCE ASSISTANT

We are a Real Estate Management firm with offices in Los Angeles and New York. We specialize in the management of apartment buildings and shopping centers. We are expanding our operations, and seeking qualified candidates to join our team.

POSITION:
- Position Title: Finance Assistant
- Work Location: Sherman Oaks (intersection of 405 Fwy and 101 Fwy)
- Work Hours: 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday
- Employment Category: Non-Exempt Employee (from overtime laws)
- Compensation: Dependent upon qualifications and experience
- Supervisor(s): President Of The Company
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Employee’s duties, to which Employee will devote Employee’s complete time and efforts, include (without limitation) the following (herein “Duties”):
· Finance activity for the Company, including (without limitation):
o Financial and budget analysis;
o Administration, Analysis, and due diligence of real estate investments;
o Administration, Analysis, and due diligence of real estate loans;
o Administration, Analysis, and abstracting of commercial leases;
o Administration and reconciliation of operating expense charges;
o Administration of Company’s insurance policies;
o Tracking insurance policies of Tenants and vendors;
o Analysis and processing of Company credit cards, travel reimbursement, and utility and other invoices;
o Negotiation of contracts;
o Property tax appeals;
o Corporate filings; and
o Administration of advertising accounts for Property.
· Special Projects as Assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Associates Degree (or higher) in Real Estate Finance (or a related field). Understanding of net present value and internal rate of return.
- Licenses:
- Real Estate License: not required
- Notary License: not required
- Experience:
- Experience in the Real Estate or related industry: Five (5) years (or more)
- Supervisory Experience: Five (5) years (or more)
- Software Skills:
- Microsoft Word: Intermediate skill level
- Microsoft Excel: Advanced skill level, including formulas (IF, SUMIF, Subtotals) and H/V Lookup
- Microsoft Outlook: Intermediate skill level
- Yardi Property Management software: Not required
- Other Skills:
o Detail-orientation
o Good time-management skills
o Ability to multi-task
o Enjoy working in fast-paced environment
o Not flustered by urgent requests
o Tech savvy
