Summary:
The HRMS Specialist I is responsible for providing analysis of daily HRMS maintenance activity submitted by field operations to ensure that data integrity is preserved within the current PeopleSoft HRMS environment, providing training to field HR and management, suggesting and implementing process and procedure enhancements, and providing HR assistance and exceptional customer service to HMSHost field operations. This position typically reports to the Sr Manager HRMS & Payroll Projects.

Summary:

Essential Functions:
- Monitors and analyzes daily transactions submitted by field operations for accuracy in the HRMS database
- Audits HRMS maintenance activity on a daily basis to detect and correct invalid information
- Provides accurate information, training, and appropriate follow-up in a professional manner to all customers
- Provides timely and proactive customer service (including research) to resolve HRMS & Payroll Services issues
- Provides feedback and possible solutions to department management on process and procedure enhancement that will benefit field operations
- Exhibits initiative in looking for problem areas and overall department training issues
- Trains the field on proper policies and procedures regarding HRMS data maintenance
- Assists department management in communicating updates to all involved parties
- Responds appropriately to all inquiries made by managers and staff with regard to HRMS/Payroll processes, procedures, policies, and issues
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- Requires 2 years of Human Resource and payroll experience, 1 year of experience in a high volume service environment
- Requires ability to resolve inquiries from customers in a timely fashion by utilizing resources available
- Requires demonstrated analytical skills in a high volume, team environment
- Requires knowledge of HR policies and procedures
- Requires time management skills and demonstrated attention to detail
- Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Requires excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Requires a high level of ethical conduct and confidentiality at all times
