Job Description
Guidance Residential, LLC is a strong, growing company that specializes in residential mortgage lending. We are looking for a strong Mortgage Closer (Funder) who will serve as the function to complete the home financing transaction after applications have been approved. The successful candidate will perform the full range of loan funding duties, which include verifying completeness of data, preparing closing packages, approving CD's (Closing Disclosures), wiring funds for closing, and warehousing closed files. As a member of the Operations team, the incumbent will collaborate with other members to provide a customer experience that is consistent with the goals of GR, as well as meet the needs of the customer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verify completeness of data on approved applications
- Prepare closing packages
- Ensure paperwork is sent to settlement attorneys
- Approve CD's (Closing Disclosures)
- Wire money for closings
- Review files as a check & balance for data integrity
- Answer questions from buyers & sellers relating to details of transaction and obtain signatures of principal parties on necessary documents
REQUIREMENTS
- Associate degree preferred
- Minimum two (2) years of recent experience in a Closing position in a mortgage banking environment, or combination of related experience in addition to recent experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Aside from the requirements above, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record in exceptional follow-up and customer service, and must be able to prioritize multiple projects to ensure deadlines are met. Must also be able to demonstrate initiative and use independent judgment within Guidance's established guidelines and procedures.
