Janitor

Excel Facility Services is a multi-state janitorial employer that has been in business for over 15 years and its corporate office is in Nutley, NJ. We are looking for a part-time janitor for one of our locations in Hollywood NC .

This position is responsible for keeping assigned areas clean and in orderly condition, performing periodic detailed cleaning such as window or wall washing. Also, notifying management of needed repairs and supplies.

Monday - Friday 2.5 hours a day 12.5 hours a week

RESPONSIBILITIES

•Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
•Clean and sanitize bathrooms
•Clean counter tops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms
•Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas
•Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary
•Dust and clean cashier stalls, ceiling light fixtures
•Clean windowsills, windows and mirrors
•Clean elevators and escalators sometimes using powered machines
•Maintain janitor closets in a clean, safe and operable condition
•Properly label, dilute and use all chemicals
•Wear applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by OSHA standards
•Follow safety rules and use safety precautions such as wet floor signs and caution tape, etc.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
•Good communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
•Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and cleaning products.
•Good attendance and punctuality.
•Ability to work independently as needed.
•Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed primarily inside. Must have reliable transportation. Multiple work sites may be assigned as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Constant (100%) standing and walking during workday. Frequent (70%) pushing, pulling, grasping, stretching, bending, twisting, reaching over head. Occasional (30%) stooping, climbing, and squeezing. Must be able to lift/push/pull more than 50 lbs.

We will supply you with mask, gloves, hand sanitizer, and uniform.

Required qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred qualifications:

• 19 years or older
• Valid driver's license
