Job Summary:
Responsible for performing job duties including Member checkout & for ensuring an exceptional Member experience within the apparel departments and soft home by ensuring overall store presentation. Spends more than 70% of time driving results on the sales floor through effective merchandising, process execution, and selling behaviors. May act as Manager on Duty (MOD) as needed.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for day-to-day execution on the apparel and Soft Home sales floors. Models expected behaviors.
  • Creates an environment around a Members First culture, consistency of processes ad service, advocating for the Members by serving as the Member advocate and surfaces opportunities to improve end-to-end Member experience.
  • Facilitates with the SGM the appropriate setup of store-wide and event signing and take down, including performing the following functions: stocking, pricing, rotation and condition of merchandise, seasonal resets, basic plan-o-grams, unit integrity, seasonal markdowns, ad recaps and inventory.
  • Assists in setting clear expectations for associates' performance and behavior, provides ongoing observations and coaching, and holds associates accountable for results. Initiates performance management processes (e.g., performance reviews, performance improvement plans) with approval and in partnership with the Store General Manager. Accurately documents associate observations and conducts regular coaching sessions. Ensures associates are up-to-date on selling techniques, product knowledge, training and appropriate use of integrated retail tools to provide a WOW Member experience. Assists associates in creating action plans for their development based on feedback from observations, store walks, Member interactions and other sources, with approval from SGM.
  • Versed in the benefits of Shop Your Way, credit and leasing, warranty and protect plan questions, all elements of a WOW experience, and able to sell the program to both associates and Members.
  • Assist Members to find the products they are looking for by walking them to the areas of the store and assist with merchandise selection.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of storewide sales and promotions, SYW promotions, the SYW App and the Sears App, and all marketing events launched for the Member benefit.
  • Completes Member transactions accurately and efficiently at the point-of-sale. Engages other associates to identify opportunities for continuously improving their performance.
  • Utilizes W2S and S2H and other integrated retail processes as methods to enhance the Member's shopping experience and serves as a resource in these areas for other associates.
  • Works with all associates to optimizes credit, gift card, Shop Your Way Rewards and multi-channel opportunities (and, where applicable, Protection Agreements, Merchandise Replacement Agreements, and other miscellaneous income opportunities). Serves as a role model in this area.
  • Assists with presentations standards (i.e., fitting room maintenance, straightening merchandise)
  • Adheres to merchandise protection standards and all shrink processes and procedures.
  • Responsible for keeping the department ready all day and ensuring the sales floor is easy to shop, in stock, clean, signed and organized for Members
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
