As a Daytime Pool CAREGiver, you will provide a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their homes. These services are designed to stimulate, encourage, and assist the clients. We generally will do companionship, light housekeeping, errands or incidental transportation. We also assist with services that are personal in nature and often include assistance with activities of daily living. You will provide exceptional care to a variety of seniors as your primary role is to provide care to short-term clients and clients when their primary CAREGiver is absent.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to lift push or pull 25 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel and reach
  • Ability to read, speak and understand English
  • Ability to drive to work site locations and transport clients as needed
  • Ability to adapt to various living environments and locations
  • Ability to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect
  • Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
  • Ability to handle all levels of care
  • Available M-F and every-other Saturday and Sunday 7a-4p and willing to work 40 hours per week.
  • Starting 2 hours prior to availability, ability to respond to office calls within 15 minutes.
  • Starting 12 hours prior to their availability respond to office calls within 1-2 hours, unless prior arrangements have been made.
  • Ability during availability to arrive to cover shift within 60 minutes

 

Job responsibilities:

  • Contribute to a positive living environment to enhance a client's quality of life by providing loving and caring relationships
  • Report any significant changes in a client's needs or living conditions
  • Provide companionship and conversation
  • Provide stabilization and assisting with walking and transfers
  • Meal preparation and clean up
  • Medication reminders and monitoring
  • Perform light housekeeping duties (dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, etc)
  • Washing and ironing laundry
  • Running errands
  • Accompany to appointments, assist with setting up appointment reminders
  • Assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and incontinent care
  • Performing other duties as assigned
  • Reporting your hours according to the office policy
  • Regularly communicating with the Client Care Coordinators and the office staff
