Press Operator Duties:
- Not physical more mentally challenging" due to the high level of automation. (example 2 people will run 6 punch presses).
- Make very small parts in large quantities.
- Run 200-1600 parts a minute on these high-speed punch presses.
- Must be able to work from blue prints and process control sheets.
- Add, subtract, multiply/divide, use decimals/fractions, etc.
- Use micrometers, vernier caliper, etc. min 9 months experience with staged and progressive dies.
