Bering Global Solutions, LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer. The Cloud Operations Engineer will be responsible for implementing cloud best practices and automation tooling for applicationdata base deployment between non-prod and prod environments monitoringlogging, incident management, configuration management, reliability, performance management, and BCDR for assigned workloads and for automation of compliance requirements and reporting for assigned workloads. ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Configure and Manage CICD tool set for COTs solution deployment in AWS (including security compliance checks) Develop and drive real time observability solutions that provide visibility into system health. Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improvement softwaredata delivery Support deployment and monitoring of intrusion detection and vulnerability scanning system. Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management. Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning and operations Diagnose and develop fixes to implement quickly and efficiently for production incidents. Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on cloud operations best practices. Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for Service Incidents Set up intelligent application performance alerts (AIOps) Proactively meet standards for information security and compliance in close cooperation with the Security Operations and Compliance teams Automate back-up and restore capabilities Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation. QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. Required (Minimum) Qualifications 3-5 yearsrsquo experience in 24x7 production operations, preferably supporting a highly available environment for a SaaS vendor or other cloud service provider. Containerization experience (Docker, etc.). Container orchestration systems management (Kubernetes, etc.). Release automation, (e.g., Jenkins), system administration, system configuration, and system debugging experience. Experience with Logging and Monitoring tools for such as ELK, Sumo, Datadog etc. Experience with scripting in Python, Ruby, JSON, Go or Bash. Experience with large-scale, distributed COTS solutions deployed on AWS. . Hold or have the ability to acquire a government security clearance. Must have a Bachelorrsquos degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics A passion for system stability, performance, scalability or customer success. Previous participation in Incident Management team. Good communication skills, written and verbal in English. Well organized and can take direction and work independently. Work collaboratively with software engineering teams and cloud platformservice team. Curious and continuous learner Preferred Certified Information Systems Security Professional or Similar (DoD-8570 IAT Level III certification). Experience with going through a cloud regulatory certification.
