Maintenance Technician

Our client in Mckees Rocks is looking for Maintenance Technicians. 

2nd shift with OT 

Primary Purpose: To assist the Supervisor of Maintenance in maintaining, repairing or replacing all equipment involved in the operation of the plant.

Essential Functions of the Job: Maintain and repair or replace all equipment involved in the operation of the plant; order outside services when needed; order parts for equipment; inspect all equipment for safety; perform other duties to help keep the plant operating efficiently; must be on call.

The above describes some, but not all, of the duties that may be assigned to keep the shop running efficiently.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of and direct or related experience in repair and maintenance of equipment, especially machinery used in the specialty steel industry; knowledge of hydraulics, welding and basic computer; knowledge in burning is helpful.

Knowledge of electrical machine repair and maintenance is essential.

One to two years minimum experience is required.

Physical Demands: Lifting up to 75 lbs., carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, shoveling, manipulating and keying/typing.

Physical effort is applied in the following work positions: Sitting, stooping, standing, bending and walking.

Working Conditions: Dust, fumes, dirt, noise, heat (summer), vibration, cold (winter) and water
