Responsibilities The Human Systems and Visualization Group is seeking a Senior Human Systems Engineer to develop first-of-a-kind innovative solutions and deliver technical products to meet our customers' toughest challenges. You will be responsible for ensuring human system engineering requirements are accounted for in all phases of the systems engineering life cycle, from requirements development through evaluation of combined human-system performance. You will work with teams spanning multiple engineering disciplines to determine the state of the possible and deliver innovative and effective solutions for projects sponsored by the US Government and commercial customers as well as Internal R&D projects. Qualifications Required Qualifications: * Masters, or Ph.D. degree in Human Factors Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Behavior Sciences, Cognitive Science, or a related field * Minimum of 3 - 8 years of related work experience (depending on degree) * Critical thinking skills for framing, analyzing, and synthesizing complex problems, qualitatively and quantitatively * Demonstrated ability to work with subject matter experts from other disciplines (including software architecture, autonomous vehicles, integrated sensor systems, SWIL/HWIL simulation, ML/AI) to solve complex problems * Excited to research, evaluate, and apply emerging technology (e.g., AR/VR, autonomy, complex systems modeling) * Ability to communicate data-based insights and design decisions to interdisciplinary engineering teams and business stakeholders * Highly motivated, self-starter with willingness to learn and participate in a team environment * Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications: * Experience leading or contributing to early system lifecycle design efforts, including conceptual design, requirements development, decision modelling, and/or tradeoff analyses * Demonstrated capability to plan, design, and conduct metrics-based human system evaluations and technology assessments with users using both qualitative and quantitative research methods * Mastery of statistics, interview coding, process charting, and systems modeling * Interest and/or experience in writing proposals, particularly for government customers * Experience with model-based engineering processes and formal systems modelling tools and processes (e.g. SysML) * Prior military experience a plus Security Requirement: * Current in scope Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
