Job Description

Qualifications:     Supervisory Skills Training, Good leadership and communication skills, Technically strong background in manufacturing, Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing

 

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all the company policies and procedures.
  • Promote a culture to foster the company's principles and guidelines.
  • To be successful, the Manufacturing Supervisor will spend approximately 80-90% of his/her time on the plant floor
  • Sets achievable performance goals for all direct reports, and holds associates accountable to the goals/policies of the company
  • Directs area leadmen and personnel to manufacture production requests in a safe efficient and cost effective manner
  • Follows schedule set forth by Manufacturing Manager and make adjustments based on available manpower and equipment
  • Work with associates to train associates on press setups and work to improve output of jobs in presses
  • Ensure employees are properly trained on quality requirements, and follow the quality requirements.
  • Assures that employees are running jobs at the standard rate and investigates cause of variances from that rate
  • Solves cases of low rate or notifies Manufacturing Manager if the problem can not be solved
  • Assures direct reports follow all quality and safety procedures, including enforcing required PPE requirements
  • Verifies all setups (first piece approval) and ensure operators are trained properly to run and check parts in the area
  • Advises Manufacturing Manager of any production or Die Repair problems
  • Ensures 100% on time delivery all to customers, internal and external
  • Responsible for understanding all company policies and procedures
  • Works scheduled hours including week-ends when needed
  • Coordinates scheduling with supporting departments
  • Helps schedule work assignments and work hours
  • All positions are cross functional; may work in other departments as deemed necessary by upper management.
