FAM Construction, LLC is a joint venture between Ferrovial Agroman and Allan Myers. Ferrovial has been active in the North American transportation industry since 1999. Ferrovial's experience includes some of the largest, most complex transportation projects in the United States. Allan Myers is the largest heavy civil construction company and materials provider in the Mid-Atlantic.

Together they have been awarded the Transform I-66 Outside the Beltway project, this project involves multi-modal improvements to 22.5 miles of I-66 corridor from I-495 in Fairfax County to University Boulevard in Prince William County. The project features two express lanes alongside three regular lanes in each direction, with space in the median for future transit; corridor-wide bike and pedestrian improvements; and safety and operational improvements at key interchanges throughout the corridor.

Role Summary

The position of Traffic Control Administrator will perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties necessary to run the Traffic Control Department efficiently. This position will assist in managing, organizing, scheduling and maintaining information related to the safe operations of FAM Construction.

Responsibilities

  • Collect data from the Traffic Control team and others related to inspections
  • Prepare, collect, and document information and reports, as required, related to Traffic Control issues on the Project
  • Assist the Traffic Control Manager in coordinating schedules and activities for the Traffic Control department
  • Prepare materials for subcontractors and FAM production managers
  • Assist with management and archiving of subcontractor and local police work tickets and invoices
  • Assist with logging hours of Traffic Control field employees for payroll purposes

Requirements

  • High School degree with some experience working with a construction company
  • Proficient personal computer skills with good keyboarding, 10-key, electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office: Word and particularly, Excel
