NGEN is the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) portion of NGEN, the Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Job Summary:

Leidos is seeking a Deployables Project Manager to support End User delivery as one of the key members of the Seat Services team. The candidate will plan, direct, and coordinate all CONUS deployable projects with the End User Hardware (EUHW) contractor and government representative to provide pack-up kits (PUK) for deployable commands.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the PUK program project teams in determining the clients requirements and turning them into operational plans

  • Facilitate status review meetings among project team members and clients

  • Coach and counsel members of cross-functional teams to accomplish project goals, meet established schedules, and resolve technical or operational issues

  • Provide support to transition deployed user back to the NMCI domain

  • Manage deployable projects on both East and West coasts

  • Track and report all asset management tasks related to the PUK movement between site locations

  • Ensure adherence to legally binding requirements and client’s long-term goals

  • Act as primary liaison between customer and project team

Basic Qualifications

  • US Citizen

  • DoD Secret Clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8-12 years of prior related work experience.  High School diploma and 15 years relative experience acceptable in place of a degree

  • Must demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies

  • Must demonstrated expertise in IT Enterprise Operations

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing projects with deployable commands

  • Organized and detail-oriented

  • Self-motivated/ self-directing

  • Strong collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills required. Relationship building

  • Ability to manage and prioritize own work

  • Independent decision making

  • Analytical thinking; thinking out of the box

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all organizational levels (SME to Senior Management)

  • Ability to analyze problems at various levels (e.g. detail level, overall organizational impact, etc.)

  • PMP certified or Project management training
