Overview

As an Air Quality Senior Project Manager/Principal for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) you will lead air permitting and regulatory compliance programs for private-sector clients with complex technical/regulatory issues in the manufacturing, power, and mining industries. This position could be located in either our Houston or Austin office. You'll develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their processes and develop permitting and compliance strategies to help their facilities maintain operating flexibility. You will also represent the company at conferences and in client meetings to resolve project issues, plan and coordinate work, and negotiate contracts. You will work closely with other CEC air quality practice members across the country to develop opportunities, build business relationships, and apply best practices to address client needs, and mentor junior and mid-level staff in the proper planning and execution of air quality projects, and in directing or conducting technical reviews of client deliverables.

Qualifications
    BS, MS, or PhD in engineering (chemical or environmental), environmental science, or related degree
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in air quality/compliance
  • Consulting or industry experience working with NSR Construction Permitting, Title V, Federal and State air regulations and air regulatory compliance assistance
  • Established relationships with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and other regional air pollution control agencies
  • Proven experience in business development for air quality/regulatory compliance projects, with the ability to contribute to new sales
  • Exceptional communication skills, strategic thinking, negotiation, and presentation skills
