The UHS Corporate Acquisition Department is hiring a Corporate Development Manager to manage, review, and analyze financial information and Mergers & Acquisitions financial modeling.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee strategic engagement processes including due diligence of joint ventures, acquisitions, and divestitures for strategic opportunities across UHS’ acute and behavioral health divisions
  • Project mix will be weighted towards behavioral health with approximate mix of 75% behavioral health and 25% acute care
  • Provide the evaluation of acquisition opportunities and other strategic relationships including the summary report of financial and operational information on the potential acquisition to senior management.  In addition, this role will provide support for contract negotiations and closing processes
  • Normalize financial information. Identifies and quantifies synergies and incremental costs. Develop forecasts with the collaboration of the operating teams
  • Prepare PowerPoint decks for deal presentation and review, draft executive summaries and participates in presentation to senior management
  • Works with financial intermediaries (bankers, brokers and others) to organize the smooth flow of confidentiality agreements, RFP and related responses, proposals and other communication
  • Works closely with each UHS operating division to ensure a smooth transition post-closing of the acquired business into UHS

 

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.

  • 5-10 years in M&A oriented finance or financial analysis in the investment banking/private equity/health care consulting/valuation fields, or in a corporate development environment
  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, as well as financial statement and basic valuation concepts and practices
  • Due diligence, health care, and accounting and/or finance background with at least three years of experience in healthcare required
  • Above average to excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Domestic US travel from time to time, which will vary with the deal flow and the requirements of each transaction
