Kelly Engineering is currently seeking a Foundry Engineer for a project engagement at one of our Global clients in Raynham, MA.  This role is a full-time, fully benefitted position.

As a Foundry Engineer placed with Kelly Engineering you will be responsible for the following:

Foundry Engineer:

Required:

  • BS Degree in an Engineering or Associates in technical discipline (Engineering, drafting/3D modeling, machining, welding, metal fabrication, etc.)
  • Any Hands-on manufacturing experience in a Foundry (preferred) or machine shop, metal fabrication, plastic injection, etc. (Co-Op or Internship qualifies as experience)
  • Strong technical communication skills to work with both internal and external engineer’s and professional staff.
  • Able to coordinate with mentors, multifaceted teams, and production operators/leads to facilitate project deliverables.
  • Experience with and ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment such as belt grinders, cut off saws, media blast equipment, pneumatic hand tools, wax/plastic injection presses, etc.
  • Product inspection experience with hard gaging, hand measurement tools or CMM.
  • Able to ensure/maintain compliance with all FDA, ISO, quality, safety and environmental regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft software such as Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, Etc.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

Preferred:

  • BS in Engineering (Manufacturing & Mechanical preferred)
  • Experience in Machining of Castings or wrought metal
  • Investment Casting or Plastic Injection manufacturing experience
  • Medical device or other highly regulated industry experience (Aerospace, Automotive, etc.)
  • Proficient in interpreting/using GD&T drawings/blueprints
  • Statistical analysis (Mini Tab) experience
  • 6 Sigma training
  • Experience running a CMM or other dimensional inspection equipment
  • Experience with precision grinding, belting, polishing of metal components
  • Proficient with set-up, operating and or programing of CNC multi axis machines (3 & 5)
  • Additive/3D Printing Experience
  • 6 axis or equivalent robot operation or programing experience
  • Experience with solid modeling
  • Familiar with Production Machine, Product and or Process Validations (IQ / OQ / PQ)
  • Previous experience with new product launches or product transfers projects
