Operations Coordinator -needed for Volume Logistics/Gainesville, GA

At Volume Logistics, you are part of a unique team environment. Volume provides Dry, Temp Control, Flatbed and Intermodal capacity for the Full Truck Load and LTL markets throughout the continental United States, Canada and Mexico.

Essential Duties:
As part of our operations team, the operations coordinator plays an important role in the overall success of the operations. This position requires being alert and detailed oriented. Time sensitivity is vital. As a result, the operations coordinator takes a proactive approach in helping our team identify and address unforeseen situations and opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any type of situation
  
• Excellent clerical and organizational skills to keep track of schedules, routes and personnel
  
• Knowledge of computers used for scheduling and other dispatch duties
  
• Ability to multitask with different and sometimes conflicting events happening at the same time
  
• Ability to work under stress and remain calm and to calm others during rapidly changing circumstances
  
• Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment
  
• Data entry; entering loads as well as, pick-up and delivery information into our computer system
  
• Dispatching drivers
  
• Communicating with drivers from pick up to confirmed delivery
  
• Ensures drivers pick up and deliver on time
  
• Process carrier set up packets
