Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced professional to join our Operations team in our Atlanta office in the role of Logistics Specialist. The Logistics Specialist will initiate, manage, and control the movement of refrigerated loads while preparing, distributing, and maintaining all export documents for the Caribbean East region. The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of export documentation and international freight forwarding and should be proactive, adaptable, and a creative problem solver. Essential Responsibilities:

• Transportation bookings
  
• Update shipping rates and routes
  
• Cold storage tracking
  
• Ensure the on-time delivery of customer products
  
• Stay abreast of intermodal trends
  
• Update inventory, track product availability, and allocations
  
• Prepare and manage export documents
  
• Process proof of export
  
• Customer follow-up
  
• Provide data for claims when needed

    Education & Experience:
    
    • Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience
      
    • 2 - 4 years of export documentation and ocean transportation experience
      
    • General knowledge of Incoterms and contract application
      
    • Candidate must be familiar with various modes of transportation including rail, trucking, and ocean to ensure the timely arrival of the products in the most cost effective manner
      
    • Previous refrigerated cargo experience is a plus
      Language Requirements:
      
      • Candidate is required to read, write, and, speak English fluently. Proficiency in another language is a plus.
