Our Finance team serves as a critical business partner responsible for managing all global activities related to financial performance, accounting, tax, forecasting, risk management, and asset management.

What will I be doing?

The Honors Finance team is a crucial business partner responsible for supporting Hilton's award-winning loyalty program, Hilton Honors. The team's primary responsibilities include Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Controls and Stewardship, Annual Budgeting and Planning, and Project Support.

The Senior Analyst, Honors Finance will report to the Manager, Honors Finance, and will work with the global Reporting and Analysis functions for GBCS (Global Brands and Commercial Services) Finance with a focus on the Honors loyalty program and the related strategies and support functions. In this role, you will execute monthly and annual budgeting and forecasting responsibilities, prepare and analyze financial reports, and perform business analyses to help optimize and manage costs. In addition to supporting the Honors loyalty program, the Honors finance team is also responsible for supporting key strategic partnerships, including co-branded credit card partnerships. The analyst will help maintain financial models and provide analytical support to assist in the success of these programs.

More specifically, you will:

    -Prepare and analyze monthly financial performance reports, identify key trends, prepare variance explanations, and present reports to business partners
    -Utilize PeopleSoft, Hyperion, and Excel to maintain, update, and continuously improve financial forecasts
    -Perform monthly Accruals and assist with Actuals Closing for Honors departments
    -Provide financial planning and analysis support on a recurring and ad-hoc basis to multiple Honors functions
    -Prepare annual budgets and build relationships with key partners
    -Provide additional support to GBCS reporting team as needed

    -Self-starter, with the intellectual curiosity and drive to identify challenges and potential problems and to independently propose solutions
    -General accounting knowledge, specifically around accrual, cost allocation, amortization

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

    -Two (2) years of professional experience
    -Two (2) years of analytical experience within a financial function
    -Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

    -BA/BS Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance or Mathematics
    -Four (4) years of professional experience
    -Experience supporting the development of senior executive-level briefings on complex financial trends and forecasts
    -Proficiency with SQL and sophisticated databases
    -Hospitality industry experience
    -Experience with Hyperion's Essbase/Smartview, PeopleSoft, Cognos, and/or Business Objects
