Sheet Metal Journeyman

A-1 Restaurant Supply is in search of a Sheet Metal Journeyman to Install Exhaust Hood/Fans in Commercial Kitchens. This is a Full-time Position with competitive wages, flexible hours and opportunity for overtime. Some qualifications, skills, and responsibilities include:

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years' experience with Sheet Metal
• RI Sheet Metal License
• Valid Driver’s License

SKILLS

· Ability to Weld, Solder, Bolt, Rivet, Screw, Clip, Caulk and Bond component parts to assemble products.

· Experience using Hand tools, Power tools, Shears, Plasma Cutters, Grinders, Polishing Tools, Drills, Metal Punch, Metal Notcher, MIG/TIG and Stick welders.

· Ability to safely work at heights.

· Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.

· Can clearly communicate with supervisors, and co-workers.

· Must be knowledgeable in workplace OSHA safety standards.

· Knowledge with hanging commercial kitchen hoods preferred

· Experience with fabricating duct and installation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Hanging exhaust and condensation hoods & install curbs and fans.

· Hanging/securing of shelving, racking, and other wall or ceiling products

· Assembly and installation of large deck-style ovens and roll-in refrigeration units’.

· Ensuring installations are properly secured in place.

· Field polishing and welding stainless steel.

· Walk-in cooler/freezer assembly.

· Safely operate company vehicles, mechanical devices or equipment.

· Install exterior metal products according to specifications and building codes.

· Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations.
