Job Description
Emergency Medical Technician
Starting Rate: $20.05
Job Summary:
Provides emergency medical care to sick and injured patients in the pre-hospital and hospital environment. Effectively communicates with all persons and departments involved in the administration of emergency medical care.
Responsibilities:
• Determines the nature and extent of illness or injury; provides basic life support and transport to the critically ill and injured in the prehospital setting.
• Completes required documentation according to regulatory standards.
• Maintains equipment and inventory of supplies including BLS and ALS and has accountability for medications on every EMS unit per regulatory standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license
• 18 Years Old
• PA EMT certification
• Current CPR card
• EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operators Course)
• Pass drug/alcohol testing.
• PA Child Abuse
• PA Criminal Record
• FBI Fingerprint
