Information Technology (IT) Specialist

Information Technology (IT) Specialists troubleshoot, maintain and repair military computer systems, networks and servers. IT Specialists deal with highly sensitive information and need to have technical skills as well as aptitude for programming using various computer languages. For someone interested in a career in computer programming or engineering, this job would be a great fit. IT Specialist are crucial to the Army and increasingly vital to national security.

Duties

• Install, operate, and perform maintenance on IT-related equipment.
• Transfer data between information processing systems
• Troubleshoot automation equipment for hardware and software malfunctions.
• Install and edit computer programs and provide technical documentation and maintenance for programs.
• Perform system administrator duties such as compiling reports, facilitating installation processes, ensure network-wide compliance and repair compromised systems.

Basic Qualifications:

• Age - 17 to 34 years old
• Education - Current Senior in High School(HS), HS Diploma, GED or higher
• Citizenship - U.S. Citizen/Permanent Resident
• Submit to background and medical screening

Additional Requirements: 

• Attend Basic and advanced training (Paid)
• Complete the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB)
• Submit to background and medical screening
