Health Care Specialist

Army Medics (Health Care Specialists) are essentially Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) that are charged with providing vital medical care to Soldiers on and off the battlefield. Using a variety of medical supplies, Army Medics (Healthcare Specialists) administer relevant medical aid to their injured comrades. Lastly, Army Medics (Healthcare Specialists) play an integral role in the transportation of casualties. Army Medics (Healthcare Specialists) perform the aforementioned roles in standard hospital environments as well as remote/deployed settings.

 Core Responsibilities:

• Provides a wide-range of emergency medical treatment.
• Provides limited primary care, force health protection, evacuation in a variety of operational and clinical settings.
• Performs triage during casualty-related incidents.
• Assists in the transportation and transition of patients to higher-levels of care

Basic Qualifications:

• Age - 17 to 34 years old
• Education - Current Senior in High School(HS), HS Diploma, GED or higher
• Citizenship - U.S. Citizen/Permanent Resident
• Submit to background and medical screening

Additional Requirements: 

• Attend Basic and advanced training (Paid)
• Complete the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB)
• Submit to background and medical screening
