Job Description

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team!

Position Purpose

To respond to requests for repair maintenance of the community, and to perform preventative maintenance as directed, and to prepare units for move-in by new residents.

Reports To

Service Manager, Property Manager or Assistant Property Manager

Responsibilities and Duties

· Perform electrical repairs on items such as fixtures, switches, outlets, and circuits.

· Perform plumbing work such as cleaning stoppages and replacing fittings.

· Perform carpentry work such as fitting doors, freeing windows, replacing and building shelves, sanding and refinishing floors.

· Replace broken glass, tile, carpet, screens, garbage disposals, fixtures, appliances, and locks.

· Paint apartments and common areas.

· Assist in unit turns, move-in procedures, and move-out procedures in whatever means necessary.

· Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety in maintenance shop.

· Assist in outdoor grounds work.

· Participate in on-call schedule for evening, weekend and holiday coverage.

· HVAC maintenance and repairs as needed.

· Appliance maintenance and repairs.

-The tech will be servicing an apartment complex and several single family homes. 

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Demonstrated plumbing, electrical, and/or carpentry skills
  • Available to be on call for emergencies on evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle
  • Physical Dexterity: mobility required to move about the property, climb stairs, lift appliances and tools, stretch, bend, kneel
  • HVAC Certification a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Plumbing: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Appliance Repair: 1 year (Preferred)
  • HVAC: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Multi family housing: 2 years (Required)
  • Light electrical: 1 year (Preferred)

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Location:

  • Baltimore Metro Area

License:

  • Driver's License (Required)

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
