Thai Food Line Cook - Food Prep

This position is located in Broken Arrow, OK.

Thai Restaurant is looking for an experienced or trainable cook and prep who can assist in expediting orders for dine in and take out.

The position requires a person who understands how to work in a fast paces Asian restaurant and can seamlessly move between Prep. and  Cook.

Employees who work both shifts will receive one meal without charge.

Essential (primary) Functions:
The primary responsibility of the food prep is to prepare all products needed for the kitchen cooks. Chopping, slicing, shredding, using meat slicer, putting product in containers for storage and immediate us by line cooks, cleanliness of your utensils while maintaining overall organization and accountability of ingredients for re order. Maintain safety, personal and product cleanliness and adhere to company rules. Rotation of products and organizing the walk-in is essential to successfully operating this station.

Secondary Functions:
Any and all other tasks assigned

Qualifications

• Stand for up to 8 hours
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Use motion that entails pushing, pulling, stretching and continuous bilateral use of fingers and wrists

The Food Prep person performs duties in most areas of food preparation. Responsibilities include keeping track of fresh product and creating order list to ensure product is available. Care and cleanliness of all items and equipment in preparation area. Attention to hygiene, quality food preparation and storage are essential in this fast paced food service environment.
