POSITION SUMMARY: The Onboarding Supervisor will supervise training at all levels and will work with employment, labor relations, affirmative action and other HR activities. This position provides direction and support, using coaching, motivation and supervisory techniques. The Supervisor is required to oversee the Onboarding Coordinators to ensure every new hire reaches their goals, works safely and successfully graduates from their probationary period

We have installed physical barriers throughout our facility such as plexi-glass or plastic barriers between team member workstations. Each day, temperature screens are performed for each employee and visitor before entering the facility. Face coverings are provided and required over the mouth and nose at all times when inside the facility, and enhanced cleaning and sanitation is regularly performed

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned
  1. Administer, track, and evaluate all New Hire Orientation and Onboarding training in accordance and compliance with the People Pillar
  2. Supervise new-hires during the training period and make recommendations to management and/or Human Resources regarding training needs, concerns and continued employment.
  3. Develop and promote positive working relationships with new hires, peers, leaders and clients.
  4. Meet with trainers, supervisors, Human Resources, and Benefits coordinators to review training materials and processes
  5. Schedule and coordinate training for multiple, sometimes simultaneous, training sessions
  6. Organize and maintain training venues, logistics, and equipment
  7. Participate on HR & company committees.
  8. Work with Excellence Coordinators and HR to help track compliance and results of orientation
  9. Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
  10. Assist in People Pillar activities and ensures compliance
  11. Assist HR team with yearly training of all employees
  12. Other duties as required
EXPECTATIONS – all Team Members
  • Observe & enforce all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies.
  • Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, coworkers, and leadership teams.
  • Participates in process improvement and problem solving utilizing continuous improvement and rational thinking methodologies such as Six Sigma, and participates in or supports the E$P program
  • Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks. Consistently practices, and enforces safe work habits and drives those habits throughout the organization
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
  • High School Diploma/ GED; Associates Degree or two years of college coursework in Communications, HR, or similar field preferred but not required; experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
  • Requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Previous training experience is required
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Professional communication and demeanor is required
  • Ability to present ideas, concepts, issues, concerns, and questions in a well thought out, positive, and professional manner to employees
  • Excellence presentation skills and ability to foster an atmosphere of teamwork with others
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be willing to work in a plant/industrial environment
  • Must be able to work additional hours/weekends as needed.
  • Bilingual preferred.
