About this job
- Be at least eighteen years of age.
- Be able to speak, read, understand, and write the English language.
- Be able to perform mathematical calculations in order to be able to make change, complete shift reports.
- Able to freely lift and carry objects of medium weight, manual reaching and bending dexterity, and good eye and hand coordination. Must present a neat, well-groomed appearance.
- Have sufficient visual activity to check identification.
- Be able to read and understand instructions for operating cash registers and other equipment.
- Be able to stock shelves and coolers.
- Be able to tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.
- Be able to sweep and mop floors, dust shelves, and lift and carry out trash containers and place in an outside trash bin.
- Be able to clean the parking lot and grounds surrounding the convenience store.
- Be able to enter and work in a cooler at a temperature of 32 degrees.
- Be able to communicate by telephone and/or store intercom.
- Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours when and if necessary.
